NEW PROGRAM
Coming Fall/Winter 2024
Coming this Fall/Winter, we will be launching a NEW program that will hopefully meet the definition of "No Goalie Left Behind". Please stay tuned for more updates HERE and on social media. We will be asking for volunteers any age from College Sophomores to Adult from all walks of life but the biggest requirement is your desire and willingness to help younger goalies personally, mentally, and professionally. If this intrigues you, then pay attention to our updates. Once we launch we have a STRONG feeling this is going to take off.
GOALIES MATTER GOALIE PAGE
We are doing something that's been going on now for awhile with Lax Goalie Rats , but we are going to branch off into another direction. We have a Goalies Matter GOALIE Facebook Group/Page that you can join where we will discuss everything goalies face in a year, mental health, club teams, coaching issues, team issues, performance, game day mind setting, equipment etc. This page will allow goalies and goalie coaches to discuss everyday issues with the goalie community to help you through the rigors of being a goalie. The link to the page is listed below. You will have to answer some basic questions in order to prove you are not a BOT, and then you will be accepted.

What is Goalies Matter?
This Mental Health Support Group was started with the belief that every single one of us (Goalies) is resilient, and that our resilience can be fostered with the help and support of current and former goalies in the lacrosse community. We have also extended our family to include all of our Individualistic Components in other sports i.e Pitchers in Softball/Baseball, QB's in Football, Golfers, Tennis Players, and of course goalies in any team sport. Our supporters provide the place and space for personal growth, self-reflection, learning, and bonding. We invite you to explore all of our resources and content with the hope that you will find the answers you are looking for.

WE REMEMBER
April 1, 2022 the lacrosse world and the goalie community lost a great young man to suicide. Robert Martin was a Graduate Student at SUNY Binghamton when he passed away. He struggled with depression and warning signs were missed. He was a good soul, a better human, and an amazing goalie. Prayers go out to the Martin Family and Binghamton Men's Lacrosse program.
