In College Stress
So you are heading off to College, eh? Well I can tell you this time can be VERY stressful and leave you with some anxiety, NO DOUBT. Well Good news we are here to help you with those issues and how to best handle it. Those who are struggling with where to start, do what I do and make lists. I would have lists for what to bring to college, what to do once i arrive on campus AFTER move in, and then my next job was Find my Lax Buddies. Easy way to find them, be observant and look for kids carrying sticks. Meet them and start getting to know one another. Who knows they could be there to play or they may use to be a fellow laxer and now they just mess around, either way you already have an instant bond you are both laxers. Preparing for college will help you down the road when you are ready to graduate and move on to the real world. Stay tuned for more helpful tips.....

In College Recruiting Stress
I can tell you from experience the recruiting process sucks. It sucked when i went through the process and it sucks even more now as coach and mentor. I can tell you this there are many ways to de-stress the grueling process. 1) Remind yourself it's not about what school wants me, but rather what kind of school do 'I Want' 2) Remember this, the days of hoping and praying a coach will find you is gone. You need to do the research (refer to bullet #1) and contact the schools YOU have an interest in, draw them to you based on your correspondence with them. 3) Devise a list of criteria you look for in school, or a list of criteria you DON'T want in a school 4) Make lists of schools from every level of play from NCAA D1-D3, JuCo, Club, NAIA etc. 5) Put together a nice package of YOU. Make a marketing package of yourself 6) Last thing.....it's really NOT all about the HS team or Summer Club team you play on that matters, it's how you perform and react.........Let Your Performance Dictate Your Destiny!!!! If you want to know more reach out and post something in this forum. IF you have better ideas post them as well so others know what you did to decide on a school.
